please ensure your subs are paid. Booking of accommodation should be done via

Sage have released a new model fly rod – the Sage X. In both
salt (5 – 11 wt) and freshwater (3 – 11 wt) versions it is a fast action rod
enabling you to “dig deeper into the rod and access the lower sections, shifting
power closer to the angler.” This rod should be well worth trying. My first
models (a 7 and an 8 wt) are on order already.

I am not sure how many have noted the new format Fly Casting
Instructor Performance test on the Fly Fishers International web site. The test
now consists of fifteen demonstration casts and seven teaching casts. A welcome
update it can be seen on the FFI website.

Paul Arden of Sexyloops fame (if you are not on this forum as a serious fly caster you should be) will once again be giving clinics on the Gold Coast.
On 15 November 2014 he will be giving an update clinic for any qualified CCI’s.
On 16 November he will be giving a general clinic. Both will be held at Currumbin Special School and bookings can be made via this web site of the SE Qld Flyfishers web site.
This opportunity is not to be missed.
